Justus Izuchukwu Onuh (Izunwaonu) hails from Igogoro, Enugu-Ezike in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State. He studied in Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu. He holds B. A and B. Phil. in Philosophy from University of Ibadan and Urban University, Rome, Italy, respectively. He is a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Enugu State Chapter. He is a blogger, a columnist and has a great interest in writing. Some of His works include The Dangers of the Crowd and Caught in the Act and some other works.
Personal life and education[edit]
Onuh Justus Izuchukwu (Izunwaonu), who was born in the city of Nsukka in Nigeria, grew up the second of six children in an Igbo family in the town of Enugu-Ezike in Enugu State. While he was growing up, her father, James Onuh, was a business man, and her mother, Onuh Mabel, was a trader. He finished his secondary school and got his Senior Secondary School Certificate from St. John Cross Seminary Nsukka, Enugu state. He was offered an admission in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to study Medicine and Surgery but he channeled his passion to Philosophy (which became his path to sophistry) in Bigard Enugu. Onuh Justus Izuchukwu got his Diploma in Latin from Pontifical Urban University becoming one of the best graduating students at that time.
Born on Sunday 19th January 1992 at Bishop Shannahan Hosipital Nsukka. He was baptized by Very Rev. Fr. Fidelis Mamah on the third month of the same year at St. Teresa's Cathedral Nsukka.
He was later confirmed as a Roman Catholic in his home; St. James Parish Igogoro in 2009. He had his Primary School Education in Central School (St. James School) Igogoro. God blessed the family with six children of which he is the second (Mama Patience Oluchukwu ; NNE Onuh, Onuh Justus Izuchukwu, Onuh Jude Nwanna, Onuh Everistus Tobechukwu, and Ejima Onuh, Kosisochukwu and Chinazaekpere).
Writing career[edit]
Izunwaonu published a collection of poems, fictions and articles in 2015 (Academia) and he plays an important role in creative writing. He is a columnist in Bigard Voice Newspaper, with the Title page "The Spots Light" Some of his works are; MBITI’S CONCEPT OF TIME: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS, which is a Philosophical work and other fictions;Emergency, The Dance of Death, Please forgive me, Truth in Lies, Hiding in the Public, The Death is Dead etc. Onuh Justus Izuchukwu (Izunwaonu) is a member of the Nigerian Philosophical Association. He was a member of editorial crew of UJAH: Unizik Journal of Arts and Humanities. Onuh Justus Izuchukwu has authored and co-authored several books and journals.
Lectures[edit]
Izunwaonu spoke on "Creativity First" on 7th of April 2018 being Easter Saturday at University of Nigeria Nsukka Social science hall. He has delivered many papers at different institutions including "Youth and Sexuality" on 30th of October 2015 at Holy Trinity Hill top University of Nigeria Nsukka.
Izunwaonu co-founded CTI, Creative Teens Initiative with his friend Maximus Deraa Onyishi.
Influence in education[edit]
He took up a teaching position at the St. John Cross Seminary Nsukka, St. Theresa's School, Ikem Ogor, Enugu State and
led the movement for the provision of qualitative and affordable education to all children regardless of their gender,
ethnicity and religion. This quest led to the creation of Websites and blog where he can teach, educate and lean from
people. As a philosopher, he developed a philosophy of life which states thus, "I am what I think people think I am" He studies philosophy in Pontifical Urban University.
