OpenLiteSpeed (also called OLS) is an open source version of LiteSpeed Web Server. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3. The latest stable release of OLS is V1.4.27 on August 16, 2017.[1] Users can download, use, distribute, and modify OpenLiteSpeed and its source code, in adherence to the license's regulations.[2] Companies or individuals that would like to use OpenLiteSpeed in a proprietary product can obtain an OEM license to do so by contacting LiteSpeed Technologies directly.
Main Features[edit]
OLS has event-driven architecture and offers a WebAdmin GUI.[3] The rewrite engine uses Apache mod-rewrite syntax.[4]

OLS 1.0 was officially published on May 2, 2013. On January 23, 2015, OLS added support for HTTP/2 draft 16 (ALPN, NPN and upgrade) in V1.4.4.[1]
