OpenLiteSpeed (also called OLS) is an open source version of LiteSpeed Web Server. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3. The latest stable release of OLS is V1.4.27, released on August 16, 2017.[1] Users can download, use, distribute, and modify OpenLiteSpeed and its source code, in accordance with the license's regulations.[2] Companies or individuals wishing to use OpenLiteSpeed in a proprietary product can obtain an OEM license by contacting LiteSpeed Technologies directly.
Main Features
OLS has an event-driven architecture and offers a WebAdmin GUI.[3] The rewrite engine uses Apache mod-rewrite syntax.[4]

History
OLS 1.0 was officially released on May 2, 2013. On January 23, 2015, OLS added support for HTTP/2 draft 16 (ALPN, NPN, and upgrade) in version V1.4.4.[1]
