Ophély Mézino (born 16 July 1999) is a French model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss France 2019 1st Runner-Up. She represented her country at Miss World 2019 pageant in London, United Kingdom [1] on December 14 where she ended up as first runner up. Mézino was also crown Miss World Europe 2019.

Personal life[edit]

Mézino was born in Réunion Island but she moved to Guadeloupe when she was a child. She is a chemistry engineering student.[2]

Pageantry[edit]

Miss France 2019[edit]

Mézino represented Guadeloupe at Miss France 2019 was held on 15 December 2018 in Lille, Nord-Pas-de-Calais. She was crowned 1st Runner-Up at end of the event.

Miss World 2019[edit]

After Vaimalama Chaves, Miss France 2019 opted not to compete in an international pageant, the Miss France Organisation confirmed on 23 September 2019 that they had appointed Mézino to represent France at Miss World 2019. She finished as 1st runner-up, also winning the Miss World Europe title. She entered the top 40 through the Beauty with a Purpose track as one of the top 10, all 10 finalists in that track advanced due to all of their projects being equally strong. She was also 3rd runner-up in the Top Model competition and top 32 in the Sports competition, also a member of the winning Sports team.

As Miss World Europe, Mézino will travel with reigning Miss World Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica and the other continental queens promoting the Beauty with a Purpose advocacy through 2021.
