Opt in
The term opt-in refers to several methods by which individuals can opt to receiving unsolicited product or service information. This ability is usually associated with direct marketing campaigns such as, e-mail marketing, or direct mail.
It is the same as if you installed the google chrome it show you a pop-up that if you want to receive the update information or our offers by email then checked it and if you are not willing to receive the update information in future then you can check it out. At this if you check it in then actually you are opting in to receive emails by them ,means they use your email to contact you in future.
