Orestes Calpini

Orestes Calpini (March 17, 1911 – December 1974) was an American animator noted especially for his work at the Fleischer Studio. While there, Calpini was among the animation directors on the studio's first feature film, Gulliver's Travels. He also worked on Mr. Bug Goes to Town.[1]

In January 1942, Paramount removed Max and Dave Fleischer from control of its cartoon studio; Calpini was among the staff who remained with the newly formed Famous Studios.[2]
