Orient Software Development Corp., or Orient Software is a Vietnamese-based software outsourcing company headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It specializes in software development and software maintenance through the application of emerging technologies. The company also has offices in Danang, Japan and Singapore. Orient has been listed in VINASA’s “Top 50 ICT companies in Vietnam” for seven consecutive years from 2015 – 2021[1]. In 2019, it was recognized in the Top Vietnam ICT Companies in the field of AI-IoT. In 2021, Orient Software’s CTO and Founder was accepted into Forbes Technology Council[2]. Also in 2021, the company has also marked its remarkable growth by being listed in “Top 10 companies with impressive growth” by VINASA[3].
History
Orient was first founded in 2005 in Vietnam, operating with 6 employees with the goal to provide software outsourcing services and develop innovative products.
In 2011, Orient moved its base to Etown, Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam with 50 employees.
The company has become Microsoft Gold Certified Partner since 2012. Later that year, Orient received ISO9001 certification for quality management system.
In 2018, Orient expanded to Danang, Vietnam, growing its total employees to 160 staff at the time.
Orient opened its first overseas office in Tokyo, Japan in 2019. The company also got certified with ISO27007 for its information security management system that same year. In 2020, Orient expanded with two offices in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. In that same year, the company celebrated its 15-year anniversary. Orient also achieved Amazon Gold Partnership in 2020. On October 15th, 2020, Orient's R&D department published its first internationally accredited peer-reviewed article on IEEE[4] regarding the application of AI in digit detection from digital devices in multiple environment conditions.
In 2021, Orient opened a new representative branch in Singapore and reached a total of more than 350 employees (as of August 2021). In February 2021, the company ranked #2 among top 15 best IT companies to work for in Vietnam[5]. By the end of 2021, Orient had successfully established a new office in District 7, Ho Chi Minh Vietnam to support its expansion and development. Orient has also received recognition in terms of its .NET development capability by being chosen by DesignRush as “Top 30 .NET Development Companies”.
