Original net animation

Original net animation is also known as ONA is a type of animation which is released directly onto the internet.^[1] Original net animation is known as web anime in Japan. Original net animation can air on television also, but if that anime is released on the internet before the television release, then it will count as ONA.

An ONA can be shorter than traditional anime titles.^[2] After 2010, some original net animation started streaming exclusively on Netflix and Amazon Prime video ^[3]
