Originate is an agile software development firm founded in 2006, headquartered in San Francisco, California.[1] The company was the first to offer a model where it provides startups and enterprises with software development human capital in exchange for an equity stake or revenue share.[2][3][4]
In July 2014, Originate launched O Labs, an investment arm for startups through a joint venture with ICM and Mannatt.[5] In July 2014, Originate acquired Applied Intelligence, an Acton company that created desktop, web, and mobile products aimed at enterprise customers.[6] In November 2016, Originate acquired Stable Technologies, a rapid application and custom development firm based in Las Vegas.[4]
As of 2017, Originate has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange Country, Las Vegas, and New York.[7]
