Orphan Page
An orphan page is a Wikipedia page that is not linked to by any other page, meaning that you can't get to it by using other Wikipedia pages, you can only use the search feature to get to it. An orphan page having a hyperlink that leads to itself does NOT mean that it is adopted. Most orphan pages are small, and not well-known Wikipedia pages. As of 2023, there are 355,199 orphan articles[1], or about 5% of all articles. This page might even be an orphan page.
Adopting an Orphan page
You can "adopt" an orphan page by being the first one to link a page to it. You can also "abort" them by editing the pages that do have a link to it to remove the link, although I wouldn't recommend doing that because you could get banned.
