Oru Nalla Kottayamkaran is a Malayalam movie drama directed by Simon Kuruvila.[1]. It is his second movie after 9 KK Road.

Oru Nalla Kottayamkaran is a true-life based movie and it speaks about the life of PU Thomas or Navajeevan Thomas Chetan who is well known for his charity works under Navajeevan Trust which he started years back.

The movie was released on December 6, 2019[2]

Anjurani Joy, a 31-year-old wheelchair user who is a world record holder in jar lifting, debuts in this film. Anjurani is a theatre artist and performer.[2]

Plot[edit]

Oru Nalla Kottayamkaran is more like a biopic as it is based on the true life of PU Thomas, the founder and director of Navajeevan Charitable Trust, Kottayam. PU Thomas was a former medical college hospital staff who walked into the way of charity by starting of Navajeevan Charitable Trust. The movie revolves around Thomas and his struggles in his charity works.

Soundtrack[edit]

The soundtracks and background score are done by music director Jinosh Antony. Robins Ambattu penned the lyrics. While singers Jayachandran, KS Chithra, Vijay Yesudas, Sudeep Kumar and Shweta Mohan sang the songs.
