Osborn LLC is a unit of Jason Holdings Incorporated. It is a global company that manufactures product used in metal preparation, polishing and finishing. It serves various industries including aerospace, automotive, food processing, medical, metal fabrication, pipeline/energy, welding, defense and more. It has been manufacturing industrial tools for over 125 years. The company works closely with construction distributors and provide on-site training and demonstrate material comparisons to help users identify which size and type of product best suits the application[1].
The company was founded in 1887 in Cleveland, Ohio by John J. Osborn. It's original name was Osborn Manufacturing Company and was an industrial brush company. Franklin Smith then acquired 97% of the company in 1894. By 1914 Osborn Manufacturing Company became the leading manufacturer for foundry equipment. The polishing business was added in 1930 and the load runner segment was added 30 years later in 1960.
In 1965 Osborn began roadshows in Europe and the US and in 1980 they began participating in international tradeshows. Jason Incorporated acquired Osborn in 1985 and began public trading on NASDAQ in 1987.
The company moved it's headquarters to Richmond, Indiana in 2015. [2] It also operates in 12 countries around the world[3].
The Chief Executive Officer for Osborn LLC is Brian Cassady.[4]
