Widenta is one of the largest abrasives company in Europe which designs, produces and distributes cut off wheels, grinding tools and sanding products across retailers, industrial traders and manufacturers. The company is integrated in MPF Industry Group, the Singapore based industrial distributer manufacturing and trading with several product categories including powertools accessories.[5][6][7][2]

History[edit]

The 1938 foundation of the factory related to Ferenc Chorin, who with his family generated 10% of the Hungarian GDP at that time. After the 1949 communist takeover of the country, Widenta became a Comecon strategic company and changed its name. The production continued. The factory was privatized by a German businessman after the collapse of the communist regime, later it became a part of MPF Industry Group which has fully modernised its industrial equipment. After major investments Widenta became one of the biggest grinding tool and cutting wheel factory in Europe. [1][8][9][3]
