Otumfuo Nana Twum (r. c.1570-1590) was the first Kwaamanhene of the Kwaaman State, which was founded around c.1570.[1] His name is also the oldest surviving name in a list of Kwaaman rulers.[2]
Known history[edit]
Otumfuo Nana Twum founded the Kwaaman State, which was the predecessor to the Ashanti Kingdom, around 1570, which was when he became Kwaamanhene of the Kwaaman State.[1] His name was last mentioned in 1590. He was succeeded by Otumfuo Nana Antwi, who was possibly his son.[2]
