Out Da Gutta Records was an American record label founded by Tupac "2Pac" Shakur. The label was named after where Tupac had felt that he had come from. Tupac founded the label in 1993 following the formation of "Thug Life" with the help of Leila Steinberg, who was Tupac's manager.
After the death of Tupac Shakur in 1996, the label became somewhat defunct. With further re-releases of the label's discography being handled by Afeni Shakur's Amaru Entertainment. Although Out Da Gutta would still be listed in name.
In 1996, Afeni Shakur, mother of Tupac Shakur, founded Amaru Entertainment after the death of her son. Amaru would handle further 2Pac posthumous albums as well as re-releases.
