Oz Yilmaz is a Canadian film director, photographer, scenarist, author, poet, and actor. He has created several film and art projects focusing on artists and art, including Portragram, which was screened on April 1, 2016 in Montreal’s art center, Phi. For 2016, his project titled “Kooples”[1] [2]for the Gay Pride in Montreal highlighted LBGT couples which was premiered on August 10, 2016, in Montreal.[3]

Yilmaz has authored eight books including literary and poetic works[4] including Liberatus, Obituaries from Heaven, and Afterhours. Many of his works deal with a variety of subject matters ranging from love, betrayal, art, social and political matters. His four published books on photography include Afterhours, an exploration of the underground clubbing culture of Montreal and Espace A Louer, an urban exploration of the impact of economic crisis on local businesses [5][citation needed]

Among his films Portrait of a Photographer,[6] [7]Color of Sound,[8] and The Hunt have all won awards in various film festivals.[9][citation needed] His latest documentary film is based on Burning Man festival, titled Burning Man: Into The Realm.[10][citation needed]

Oz Yilmaz is a National Director on The Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators [11] [12] [13][14]
