Paw Studios is an independent production studio operated by Shubham Sudhin Pitale and Himanshu Abhay Wagle, focusing on short films of different genres. The film series was created by director Himanshu Wagle and screenwriter Shubham Pitale in 2019 for YouTube, while the template for the adventures was mainly the work of screenwriters Shubham Pitale and Rajdeep Desai.
Background
Shubham Sudhin Pitale (born April 7, 1997) and Himanshu Abhay Wagle (born September 27, 1997) initially worked on a low-budget project titled The Untouched Tangent (2017). The screenplay was written by Shubham Pitale, based on a concept idea by Siddharth Chitalia. However, due to creative differences between the makers, the film was unreleased.
In December 2018, writer-director Danish Humanity approached the Pitale-Wagle duo and discussed the plot for his debut project, Life Is An Equation! (2019) to which the filmmakers agreed to co-finance the project with Danish's own venture — Danish Films. Released on May 10, 2019 as their first release, it eventually launched Paw Studios on YouTube, but was panned with many critics and audiences disliking the plot and Danish's performance. Pitale and Wagle themselves called it the "worst project" of Paw Studios.
Shubham himself starred in his self-written venture titled The Dream-Killer!!! (2019) which was the directorial debut of Wagle. The film was met with mixed reception, although the unique blend of Pitale's screenplay received praise. Casting calls for other actors to appear in the franchise initially began with the screenplay submission by Rajdeep Desai which was titled Danger Is Lurking (2019) after it was subsequently re-written by Shubham himself. Rohit Mahadev was cast for the role of "the Psychopath" and the project was released to wider critical acclaim with Himanshu describing the short film as "his favourite and best work done for Paw Studios to date." Aniket Khopkar's performance as "the Hostage" was also considered superior. Due to Rohit's performance and the screenplay's tonality, Rajdeep was later hired by the Pitale-Wagle duo to co-write most of the screenplays with Shubham Pitale.
Atharva Shende, Shubham's childhood friend, joined the team during the production of Dryfruits (2020) but left in early 2022 citing professional disputes with Wagle. Mahan Shukla, another childhood friend of Shubham, who filmed The Dream-Killer!!!, officially joined the franchise with the studio's new phase of films beginning with Life (2022) after Himanshu took a break from directing Paw Studios' films.

Future
Shubham Pitale and Himanshu Wagle have additional storylines planned through 2029, resulting in many films "on the docket which would be completely different from anything that's come before intentionally". Pitale noted that the studio has films scheduled to be released after 2022, though they would not announce them nor the release dates at the moment.
