PEI-Genesis is a global provider of custom engineered connectors and cable assemblies for customers in the aviation, oil/gas, military, industrial, rail, and medical sectors..[1]
Headquartered in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, the company employs over 1000 people in a dozen countries, with 17 sales offices in North America, Europe and Asia, as well as five production facilities.[2]
The company has production facilities in South Bend, Indiana, Chandler, Arizona, Southampton in the United Kingdom, Zhuhai, China and Nogales, Mexico.[2]
It is considered one of the notable businesses on South Bend that contributes to its local economy. Its South Bend and Southampton facilities are AS91000D and ISO9001:2008 certified for assembly and distribution of connectors and cable assemblies. The Chandler, AZ plant is also AS9100C certified. PEI’S Chinese facility reached AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 certification in September 2017.[3]
The company has been presented such awards as "Distributor of the Year 2014" from Amphenol[4], "Top Supplier Award" from Raytheon in 2016[5], and "Rising Star Distributor 2016" from Electronics Supply and Manufacturing-China [6]

PEI-Genesis was formed in 1946 by Murray Fisher and Bernie Bernbaum who had gone into business together during the Great Depression offering door-to-door radio repair services.[7]
Founder Murray Fisher died in 2013 at the age of 101; Bernie Bernbaum, now 102, still resides in Philadelphia.
In 1952, PEI-Genesis became a franchised distributor for ITT Cannon.[8]
In 1980, Fisher’s son Steven became the company’s new CEO.[9]
In 2000, PEI-Genesis became a franchised connector distributor for Amphenol and opened its UK headquarters and assembly facility.[9]
In 2015, PEI-Genesis opened its first Asian production facility in Zhuhai, China.[10]
In 2016, the company acquired FilConn, Inc. of Arizona.[11]
In 2018, PEI expands to the Indian market.[12]
