Founded in 2008, POPS Worldwide ("POPS") is a multi-platform, multi-channel media and entertainment company based in Ho Chi Minh City with operations across Vietnam and Thailand. POPS handles the licensing, marketing, distribution and production of digital content for a global audience. POPS reaches a global audience of over 2.7 billion monthly YouTube views, 4 billion YouTube lifetime watch-hours and over 65 million network subscribers across multiple platforms.[2]
POPS operates and manages over 1,200 YouTube and social media channels targeting adults, young adults, families, teens and children. These channels include Vietnam's most subscribed and most viewed YouTube channel POPS Kids. POPS' other flagship channels are POPS TV and POPS Music.[3]
POPS Worldwide is a full-service entertainment platform, providing additional services including media sales, audience development, content marketing, creative solutions, application development and content programming strategy.
In June 2017, Turner Asia Pacific took a significant minority stake in POPS Worldwide to accelerate its growth in the region.[4][5][6]

Early development (2008-2010)[edit]
POPS Worldwide was founded in 2008 by CEO and Co-Founder Esther Nguyen with the purpose of capitalizing on Vietnam's growing socio-economic status after its WTO ascension in 2007. POPS Worldwide's early businesses were focused on building a social music discovery web site and music-based Value Added Services (VAS) products for mobile operators.
2010[edit]
POPS Worldwide launches Tini Pet, the first mobile interactive game exclusively operated by Vinaphone and became a Top 5 content provider for mobile network operators: Vinaphone, MobiFone, Viettel, Beeline, Vietnamobile and Sfone. The company became a worldwide digital content distributor and appeared in the Top 100 Tech Start up company of Red Herring Asia 2010 and earns the Top start up company of Midem 2010.[7]
POPS Worldwide launches the largest Vietnamese music library for Apple's iTunes music store.
2011[edit]
The POPS Worldwide YouTube network was launched in late 2011 and leverages the licensing, production and distribution rights for the majority of Vietnam's music since 2008.[8][9] They still developed mobile games on iOS and Android platform (MobiPet, 7th Treasure) and launched the largest Vietnamese music library on Amazon Music (formerly Amazon MP3).
2012-2013[edit]
POPS Music launches on YouTube and POPS Worldwide's YouTube network reaches over 2.1 billion annual views making it the largest multi-channel network in Vietnam.
2014-2015[edit]
POPS launches its first-ever POPS Awards as the country's first multi-genre digital entertainment award.[10][11]
POPS Kids launches on YouTube.
2016–present[edit]
In 2016, POPS Worldwide partners with Turner Entertainment Asia to bring its Boomerang catalog to YouTube in Vietnam with full and wholly localized episodes of Ben 10, Tom & Jerry Show, Tom & Jerry Tales, The Powerpuff Girls, Chowder, Duck Dodgers, What's new Scooby-Doo?, Baby Looney Tunes.
POPS announces content partnership with Discovery Network's TLC. Localized full episodes of Single Dad Seeking, Bride By Design, Quinceanera, Something Borrowed Something New, Long Island Medium, Save My Style, Married By Mom And Dad and S.O.S With Jo Frost are launched on POPS' Her Voice YouTube channel. POPS and TLC launch their first co-production series, "Ai Mới Là Bà Chủ?" starring Kiều Linh, Nam Thư, Puka.[12][13]
POPS and TV Asahi announce a marketing and distribution partnership to launch localized full episodes of Doraemon on POPS Kids.[14]
POPS and The Pokémon Company announce a marketing and distribution partnership to launch localized full episodes of Pokémon on POPS Kids.[15][16][17][18]
POPS Worldwide expands regionally in Bangkok, Thailand.
The kids educational music series Mầm Chồi Lá launches.
The POPS Kids TV application is released on iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

POPS Worldwide licenses and produces entertainment content across multiple genres. In addition to a channel partner network, POPS Worldwide owns and operates a network of over 30 channels including: POPS Music, POPS Kids and POPS TV.
POPS Music drives over 4.2 million subscribers, 4.5 billion views and 24,000 video uploads. Created in 2013, POPS Music features Vietnamese artists such as Hồ Việt Trung, Bảo Anh, Quách Tuấn Du, Lưu Ánh Loan, Trúc Nhân and Quỳnh Trang. Also, POPS Music has some spin off channels that focus on particularly popular niches in the Vietnamese music market, POPS Music - Bolero and POPS Music - Quê Hương.
In Vietnam, POPS Kids is the number 1 channel in the kids general education and entertainment category[22] with more than 2.5 billion lifetime views and 2.7 million subscribers. In Vietnam, POPS works with talents like Don Nguyễn, Xuân Mai, Nhật Lan Vy, Trúc Tiên, Bào Ngư, Hiếu Kiên, Bảo An, and KuTin. In addition, the channel localized international versions of Ben 10, Tom & Jerry Show, Tom & Jerry Tales, The Powerpuff Girls, Chowder, Duck Dodgers, What’s New Scooby-Doo?, Baby Looney Tunes, Hot Wheels Battle Force 5, Truck Town, My Friend Rabbit, Pokémon, One Piece and Doraemon. In 2016, POPS produced and released a digital-first kids nursery rhymes series called Mầm Chồi Lá targeting K and pre-K children ages 3-8. As of December 2017, Mầm Chồi Lá has released over 65 episodes with a combined viewership of almost 400 million views. POPS Kids has other kids series like its how-to drawing series Siêu Nhân Bút Chì, how-to balloon animals series Sắc Màu Bong Bóng, toy playing series Chơi Cùng Gấu Pô and kids dance series 123 Dance.
POPS TV features comedy and general entertainment shows from the POPS network and has over 1.1 million subscribers and 750 million views to-date. Con Ma Đề, Hài Kịch Khó, Hài Vật Vã, Trấn Thành Phiêu Lưu Ký are some shows featured in this channel.
