Origins
Brahmin's Coffee Bar: The Foundation
The roots of Paakashala can be traced back to the inception of Brahmin's Coffee Bar in Shankarapuram by Nageshwara Adiga, father of Vasudeva Adiga, in 1965.[2] Brahmin's Coffee Bar started as a humble establishment serving traditional South Indian delicacies and beverages, quickly gaining popularity under Nageshwara Adiga's stewardship.[3]
Evolution of Adiga's
In 1993, Vasudeva Adiga founded the first Adiga's restaurant on DVG Road, Basavanagudi. The name was later changed to Vasudev Adiga's. [4]
Expansion
Partnership with New Silk Route Venture Capital
In 2012, Vasudeva Adiga partnered with New Silk Route Venture Capital from New York to expand his restaurant chain further. This collaboration led to the number of outlets increasing from 13 to 30.[5]
The Birth of Paakashala
Sri Anantheswara Foods Pvt Ltd
In 2018, Vasudeva Adiga launched Sri Anantheswara Foods Pvt Ltd and introduced a new restaurant chain called Paakashala. "Paakashala," means "cooking school" in Sanskrit.[6]
