Pacific Santa’s Inc. is a Filipino-owned stock corporation registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission [1] and the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines [2] on Feb. 6, 1964. Santa R-Kayma Klaws [3], a Filipino citizen, is its founder, president and chief business development officer.
The company is the premier supplier of the largest number of natural bearded Santas in the Philippines. It has carried out charity missions among poor Filipinos, especially children, every year since it was founded.
Pacific Santa’s business consists of three components:
• Manufacturing, which involves the creation of handmade high-quality suits for Santas and elves at Santa’s workshop;
• Commerce, which involves the hiring and placing of natural bearded Santas in events during the Christmas season from September to January for a fee; and
• Charity, whereby Santas visit places where people, especially children, urgently need help because they are victims of natural or man-made disasters (earthquakes, landslides, floods, tidal waves, volcanic eruptions), illnesses (hospitals and clinics), are orphaned (orphanages) or ageing (retirement homes), or poor (barangay and schools). These visits are done voluntarily both by Pacific Santa’s and the Santas involved.
A part of the company’s mission statement allocates a portion of any profit made on the commercial side of the business to the areas where the funds were created to benefit that community.
Pacific Santa’s and its founder have made appearances on all the major TV stations, including GMA and ABS-CBN Network. It had several radio airings on the Defense Department Radio DWDD and can be found on Youtube or 1134 AM on radio. Appearances also took place in numerous shopping malls, including Robinsons, Landmark, Wilcon’s; at government offices such as the National Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Customs; at fun destinations such as Star City, Sky Ranch and The Manor; and at events with Hinge Productions and GMA.
