Pakistan Ramazan (Urdu: پاکستان رمضان‎) was a 2014 Pakistani live transmission programme that first aired on Express Entertainment[1] from June 30, 2014, till Chaand Raat. This programme was hosted by Aamir Liaquat Hussain, who was also the then president of Express Media Group.[2] He dedicated this transmission to the security forces fighting for the country.[3][4]

Segments

Sehar

  • Allah Ki Rasi – An Islamic segment done by Maulana Wali Razi. The program focuses on educating the viewers more about the peaceful religion of Islam and about the importance of strong faith in Allah.
  • Pakistan Ghar – In the segment, different questions are asked from the audience, and they are given prizes on correct answers. Prizes include electric appliances, attires, gadgets, etc.
  • Rah-e-Naiki – This segment is to help poor, needy, unemployed, prey to terrorism/target killing, or deadly illness, the ones who have suffered immensely and are striving to live every day. In Sehri, the affected ones tell their stories and take the viewers on a brief journey of their everyday grief, showing how each day they strive to manage in a society.
  • Ao Kahani Sunein – The host sits by children and tells them stories about Islamic events. The mere purpose of the segment is to revive and educate the younger generation about how Islam has strengthened its roots and has spread.
  • Aalim On Air – Two Ullema accompany the host to solve religious and social issues in the light of Quran and Sunnah.
  • Ishq Key Rung – In every Sehri, renowned Sanakhuwan along with the host praise and pay homage to the Prophet Muhammad. The Naat Khuwans are Imran Sheikh, Ahmed Raza, Hafiz Tahir, Rehan Qureshi, Mohd Ali Suharwardi, and Mukarram Ali Khan.
  • Allah Ke Naam Se Shuro – In the beginning of every Sehri, recitation of Quran is done by Ibrahim Kasi. The host gives translation and short tafseer of the recitation to enlighten the viewers.
  • Dars-e-Quran – In this segment, Hafiz Ibtesaam Ilahi Zaheer gives teachings on Quran.
  • Askar Us Saba – This is a recorded segment consisting of animation pictures with voice over of recitation of Quran verses.

Iftar

  • Load Shedding – Electricity shortage has been a dreadful problem for years in Pakistan. To make the officials hear the voice of common people, in this segment all lights blow out, and candles will be lit for some time.
  • Pakistan Ghar – In the segment, different questions are asked from the audience, and they are given prizes on correct answers. Prizes include electric appliances, attires, gadgets, etc.
  • Izzat Afzai – The old, special, ill, or extreme cases who are present in the audience and would be fasting are specially appreciated by the host during the program. The segment takes place to motivate them to keep fasting and to motivate the viewers as well.
  • Roza Kushai – This segment is for all those children who would fast for the first time. The host would go to them and talk to them; he would appreciate them for fasting.
  • Aalim On Air – During the Iftar transmission, four Ullema representing four different sects accompany the host to discuss the issues residing in the society and solve them in the light of Fiqh. The light of Quran can apprise and answer any question.
  • Rah-e-Naiki – The affected cases that had told their story in Sehri would be called in Iftar to comfort their pain by kind words and charity.
  • Zair Zabar Paish – In this segment, three teams are selected i.e. Itehad, Tanzeem, Yaqeen-e-Muhkum. The teams compete with each other in a quiz as they are asked Islamic questions and general knowledge questions sometimes.
  • Ishaiya – During Iftar transmission, the host cooks a dish for the special guests. Throughout this segment, he also interacts with the audience.
  • Qasas-ul-Anbiya – This segment focuses on the stories of Anbiya Karam. The host tells stories of various Anbiya’s like Prophet Nooh, Prophet Ibrahim, Prophet Musa, Prophet Isa, Prophet Daud etc. that came before Prophet Mohammed.
  • Ao Kahani Sunein – The host sits by children and tells them stories about Islamic events. The mere purpose of the segment is to revive and educate the younger generation about how Islam has strengthened its roots and has spread.
