Raheem Abike Halimah, professionally known as Papaya Ex, is a Nigerian social media personality, social media influencer, model, actress, and content creator.
Early life
Papaya Ex was born and raised in the capital of Oyo State in Nigeria.[citation needed]
Career
Papaya Ex began her career in fashion, which later turned her into a social media personality and influencer.[1] In 2020, she started her acting career with a short film titled Two Way Street.[2][3]
Papaya Ex, as a social media influencer, has worked with brands in Nigeria such as Zedapex Academy and secured a ₦50 million endorsement deal with Zikel Cosmetics in 2024.[4] She is an ambassador for the US-based Fashion Nova,[5] as well as the lifestyle brand Platnova.[6]
Mental health advocacy
She has been a vocal advocate for mental health awareness within the social media influencer community in Nigeria. Her interviews have shed light on the emotional pressures of fame, encouraging fellow creators to prioritize resilience and self-care.[7]
