At the age of 25, he became the co-editor of the book "The Internet of Things: Foundation for Smart Cities, eHealth, and Ubiquitous Computing" published by CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Group) in 2017, featuring 77 authors from more than 15 countries[2]. Also, he is a featured author of the CRC Press (Taylor & Francis)[3]. With his strong work in the field of Internet of Things towards healthcare and the keen objective of imparting education about IoT to young engineering graduates and undergraduate students from various disciplines, he is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Engineering, University of the Republic (Spanish: Universidad de la República), Uruguay[4][5] and also as a doctoral scholar at the National Technological University — Buenos Aires Regional Faculty (Spanish: Universidad Tecnológica Nacional)[6][7], Argentina. He has a Master's degree in Computer Science, following which his teaching and research was focused on IoT and its allied application areas.

Education

Academic Career

Parag Chatterjee was born to Pampa Chatterjee and Raja Chatterjee in Kolkata (Calcutta), India on 12 September 1992. His schooling was at Nava Nalanda High School in Kolkata (Calcutta), India, following which he graduated from high school in 2010 (West Bengal Secondary School Examination). He pursued his higher secondary studies in the same school and graduated in 2013 in the first division. Chatterjee joined Scottish Church College in 2013 to pursue undergraduate studies in Computer Science and graduated from the University of Calcutta in 2013, with a first class. Following that, he joined St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and graduated with a Master's degree in Computer Science from University of Calcutta in 2015.

In 2015, Chatterjee met Dr. Ricardo Armentano at the MITE Conference held at Thapar University, Patiala while presenting his paper. Following this, he was invited to design the start of a new MOOC at the Favaloro University, Buenos Aires (Argentina)[12]. After successfully developing the same, in September 2016, Chatterjee started his doctoral thesis on Internet of Things applied to Cardiometabolic Diseases, at the GIBIO Lab of National Technological University—Buenos Aires, directed by Dr. Ricardo Armentano and Dr. Leandro Cymberknop[7]. From 2017, he started a new master's course on Software Engineering at the Postgraduate School of the same university. The following year, he joined as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Engineering, University of the Republic (Uruguay), to teach health informatics and the aspects of eHealth.
