Parag Desai
Parag Desai is the COO of Universal Communications, an Indian public relations and movie marketing firms in the entertainment industry.[1]
Based in Mumbai, Parag Desai started operations in 1998 with corporate communications, later diversifying into television and films. Few of the prominent Indian television shows being Close Up Antakshari, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Khichdi, Sanjeevani, Hum Sab Ek Hain, Just Mohabbat, etc.
He entered the Bollywood in 2003 with the publicity and promotion campaign for the films like 'Oops' , 88 Antop Hill, Page 3 etc. Universal Communications has been a part of a number of successful and acclaimed franchises namely the Singham, Golmaal, Dhamaal installments etc and has also played a vital role in spearheading the success of iconic films such as Jab We Met, Dabbanng 2, Ready, Bol Bachchan, Pink, Hindi Medium, Stree,Golmaal , 200 crore plus blockbusters Simmba & Kabir Singh And Tanhaji.
In October 2008, he signed with Hollywood studio 20th Century Fox Fox Star Studios, for public relations for most of their films distributed in India. Currently he is also handling the Hollywood department of studios like Sony Entertainment Pvt. Ltd and Disney India.
Currently, the company's portfolio of services include: Public Relations, Celebrity Management, Event Management, Image Management, Crisis and Brand Management services. In January 2011, Parag Desai was awarded the Best PR of the year by Lions Club, Mumbai.
