Parakkal Family

A Muslim family named Parakkal was a major family in the early history of Morayur. The first person who established the family in Morayur is not mentioned. Parakkal Rayin and Kadiyumma had three children: Mammad Haji, Saidalavi, and Aminakutty. The family later expanded to Valenchery. Their elder son, Parakkal Mammad Haji, and his two wives, Ayishakutty and Biriyakutty, relocated to Coorg and then back to Valenchery. In his memory, his family established the Marhoom Parakkal Mammad Haji Charitable Trust.
