Early Life[edit]

Paris Chanel was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee in the United States of America. Growing up it was mainly her mother, grandmother, and younger brother in her life. Her mother and grandmother being her support systems made sure that quality education was key. Going to John P. Freeman Optional School for elementary and the beginning of middle school and Memphis Harding Academy for most of high school helped her to receive a full ride to Christian Brothers University. Chanel graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Marketing from Christian Brothers University, May 2015. Paris began to really go after her modeling dreams the year after she graduated (2015 - present) and after that year opened up her on own modeling and talent agency, The Paris Chanel Agency, where she is the CEO. She would later take the world by storm with her social media influencer and blogging skill sets.

Career[edit]

While in college, Chanel worked heavily in the promotional modeling sector of the modeling world. She worked from brands such as Harley Davidson, Coca-Cola, Carnival Cruises, Chevrolet, Ford, Ciroc, Crown Royal, Revlon, Cosmopolitan, Playstation, Playboy Energy Drink, and many more [1]. As she started to rise in the promo modeling world, she go on to become a Regional Manager for All-State's promotional team. A little after, she became one of the first Black Umbrella Girls for the racing industry. Although short lived, Chanel took great pride in the opportunity and wanted to show women of color that you can set your mind to do whatever you want to do.

Little did Chanel know, her career would take a tremendous leap on July 24, 2014. She participated in a star-studded competition in Cancun, Mexico in October of 2013. There were models from all over the world, but she so happened to be the only African American model in attendance. She left a lasting impression on the owners of the company. On July 24, 2014 Chanel was named the first African American Spokesmodel[2] of The International Bikini Model Search. She was all about breaking barriers and being that face to show girls and women that look like her, that they too can make their dreams a reality. After she was given this title, she hit the ground running and as published on 10+ magazine covers, featured with major media outlets such as Maxim ZA, FHM Spain, Playboy Australia, and many more. She was also featured in Playboy Mexico's print magazine for the IBMS Cancun event.

Although glamour modeling has been what she has done the majority of her adult career, runway and fashion was her first love. She has walked in over 30 fashion shows. Some major designers that she has walked for has been Korto Momolu and Jerrell Scott from Project Runway Season 5, Gordana Gehlhausen from Project Runway Season 6, and Reco Chapple. She was also trained in runway by the late Michael Maddox.

Modeling has always been Chanel's #1 passion, but the acting world just popped up and kind of happened for her. While she's done music videos, commercials, and some extra work, she's been a stand-in for some major actresses on television and film.
