Parsons Music Group (also known as Parsons Music Corporation) is a musical instruments manufacturer and retailer based in Hong Kong, China.

Company Profile[edit]

Parsons was founded in 1986 by Terence and Arling Ng[1] and became China's largest music retailer and now have more than 100 retail locations and 80 music schools all around the country.[2][3] In this retailers, Parsons sells acoustic and digital musical instruments like guitars, pianos, amplifiers, electronic keyboards and also sheet music and books.[4]

Pianos[edit]

Parsons manufactures pianos for own brands (Yangtze River, Toyama, and Schönbrunn),[2] grand pianos for Baldwin[5] and manufactures a few Kawai models for sale only in Parsons Music’s stores in China.[6][2]

Parsons is the majority shareholder of the German piano manufacturers Wilh. Steinberg since 2013[7][8] and Grotrian-Steinweg since 2015.[9][10]
