Partridge Publishing
Partridge Publishing is Author Solutions India's self-publishing "imprint" and the Indian division of Author Solutions, once owned or promoted by Penguin.[1][2]
The press release dated February 2013[1] no longer appears on Penguin's main sites. However, some publications in India continue to refer to Partridge as "A Penguin company".
Although Author Solutions and its various self-publishing brands, including Partridge India, have been sued[3] for deceptive practices, in India, the Partridge imprint has allowed new and budding authors to make their mark with relatively low risk where they would have faced higher barriers to entry via mainstream publishers.[4]
