Parvinder Singh, a Indian Field Hockey Player,was born on 10 April 1995 in the Ferozpur District of Punjab. He has played in the Sub-Junior National Hockey Championship 2011.Singh usually plays the Centre Forward Position.Fondly nicknamed Pindi by hockey players,he has to his credit a total of 51 matches during his hockey career till date.Having played his debut hockey in Malaysia for the Sultan of Johor Cup 2014.

Early Life[edit]

Parvinder's village Sodewala is located in the Ferozpur District of Punjab[1].[2]Parvinder completed his studies and kept going to the ground as well. In 2007 Parvinder got selected in Punjab Agriculture University Hockey academy which is situated in Ludhiana and after spending 3years in the academy he moved back to Ferozpur for his matriculation and resumed practice on the grounds of Ferozpur[3]. After that, he got selected for Surjit Hockey Academy in Jalandhar[4] and after one year he again got selected for National Camp and made his 1st National Tour in Malaysia[5]

Career[edit]

Parvinder's first achievement came with the 4th Sultan of Johor Cup Tournament held at Johor Bahru in Malaysia in 2014[6] in which he won a Gold Medal.The next success was the Test Series at Brisbane in Australia in 2014[7].India had won the test Series there.Next, Parvinder visited the Netherlands in 2015 to participate in Volvo International U-21 Men's at Breda[8] Then came the 5th Sultan of Johor Cup Tournament at Johor Bahru in Malaysia[9] in which he won a Silver Medal.In 2016,he joined Training Matches at Marlow in England[10].The next tours that year were to Australia for Australian Hockey League at Perth,International[11].Junior Hockey Tournament held at Valencia in Spain[12] in which he won a Gold Medal.He took part in Uttar Pradesh Hockey Junior World Cup Men's in Lucknow winning a Gold Medal.

National Hockey Championship[edit]

Sub Junior National Hockey,Championship in 2011(Bronze Medal),3rd Junior National Hockey Championship in 2013 (Gold Medal)[13],4th Junior National Hockey Championship in 2014(Gold Medal)[14],4th Senior National Hockey Championship in 2014.He also participated in 5th Senior National Hockey Championship in 2015, A Division[15].6th Senior National Hockey Championship in 2016[16] in which he got a Silver Medal

Hero Hockey India League[edit]

Parvinder Singh played Hero Hockey India League from 2013 to 2015 on behalf of Ranchi Rays.Further,played the same league from 2016 to 2017 on behalf of Delhi Waveriders[17]
