PatPat is an American e-commerce company headquartered in Mountain View, California that is an online specialty retailer of children's apparel and accessories.[1][2][3]

PatPat was founded in August 2014 by Can Wang and Can Gao as an online marketplace for children's and maternal clothing, with their headquarters in Mountain View, California, and global locations in Ireland, China and the Philippines. They are most well known for their matching family apparel.[4] Co-founders Wang and Gao both attended Carnegie Mellon University and worked together in business intelligence at Oracle Corporation before founding PatPat as an e-commerce platform together in 2014.[5][6][7]

In 2018, Sequoia Capital led a $48 million Series C investment into the company.[8][9][10] In 2021, DST Global led a $510 million funding round.[11] In August 2021 PatPat raised 160 million dollar round.[12][13][14][15][11]

PatPat is partnered with payment platform Adyen,[16] and as of 2019 claims that their website has 5 million monthly active users. PatPat describes their business model as “manufacturer-to-consumer,” or (M2C). PatPat offer matching family apparel that is customizable and often includes licensing of popular kids television series such as PAW Patrol.[17] Matching clothes for parents and kids are what they are most known for and popular among celebrities, including Chris Brown.[18][19][20][19][17]
