Pat Collins (reporter)
Pat Collins is an American television news reporter for WRC-TV in Washington D.C.
Biography[edit]
A native of Washington, D.C., Collins graduated from Notre Dame in 1968. Ultimately, Collins spent a year in Vietnam.
Professional career[edit]
He began his career as a print journalist working first for the Washington Daily News and later for the Washington Star. Collins actually began writing for newspapers at the age of 15, and by the age of 17, he had a regular column in the Daily News.
Known for his unique and witty ways of reporting news stories, Collins joined News 4 in 1986. He previously worked with WJLA-TV, WDVM-TV, and WLS-TV in Chicago.
Collins has earned 10 Emmy awards, two Clarion awards, and a Chesapeake Associated Press Award for "Best Feature Reporter."
Collins was inducted into The Silver Circle by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his more than 25 years of television service in Washington, D.C.

Collins still lives in Washington D.C. with his wife and three children.
