Patrick Beach (born 6 August 2003) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for A-League Men club Melbourne City.

Club career

Beach was benched in two league matches with the Central Coast Mariners in January 2022 and joined the roster for the 2021 FFA Cup final,[2] but did not make an appearance during his stint with the Central Coast Mariners. Beach signed for Melbourne City on 23 June 2023 on a three-year deal benched for the entire 2023–24 A-League Men campaign.[3] In the next season in 2024–25, he made his professional debut with Melbourne City on 19 October 2024 starting and keeping a clean sheet against the Newcastle Jets in a 1–0 win.[4]Manager Aurelio Vidmar explained the decison to start Beach ahead of regular goalkeeper Jamie Young by saying “We’ve got a couple of good, young keepers with Beachy and also James Nieuwenhuizen,” Vidmar said. “We’re going to get to a point where the kids, they’ve been sitting on the bench or been second or third-choice goalkeepers for a number of years now, we’re going to get to the point (of): when are they actually going to take their opportunity? “They’ve both been given an opportunity in pre-season and today, we decided to step up with Beachy and he did a great job for us[5].”

International career

Beach was called up to represent the Australia U23 at the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup donning caps in all three group games. He was then called up to the Australia U23s for the PacificAus Sports Football Series in October 2024.[6]
