Patrick Bettscheider is a German bank manager and financial entrepreneur. He is the Founding Partner of Interritus, an investment company focused on acquiring specialist banks and financial services firms.[1] In 2015, he acquired Austrian lender Kommunalkredit Austria from the Austrian government for 142 million Euros after the bank had been nationalized.[2][3]

He was the Founder and CEO of MainFirst, a German investment bank with more than 200 employees.[4] According to press reports, Bettscheider sold his stake in Mainfirst for a high double digit Euro million amount in 2014.[5] He served as Head of European Equities at Deutsche Bank, responsible for building the Bank’s franchise in Equities Research, Sales and Trading. Bettscheider holds an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a PhD from EBS University of Business and Law.[6]
