Patrick Herning
Patrick Herning is an American fashion entrepreneur and businessman. In 2017, he founded of 11 Honoré,[1][2] a luxury plus-sized fashion e-retailer that works directly with high-end designers and contemporary brands with investors including Nordstrom.[3]
Additionally, Herning is a Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of West Hollywood-based Thirteen Lune, an e-commerce platform that showcases beauty brands created by founders of color. The company launched in 2020.[1]
Life and career[edit]
A San Francisco native,[4] Herning attended Southern Methodist University from 1991 to 1996 before entering the tech sector as Manager of Channel Partner Sales at CyberSource, eventually finding his way to serving as a Director at VeriSign Payment Services, which was acquired by PayPal in 2005. The following year he founded Fathom Events Strategy, a boutique agency based in Los Angeles that was acquired by HL Group in 2010, making Herning a Vice President in charge of Influencer Marketing. In 2015, Herning founded and served as President for PMH Partners, an influencer marking consulting practice of which he remains President.[5]
In 2017, Herning founded 11 Honoré[3] with investments from Forerunner, Nordstrom, Upfront, Greycroft and Canvas.[6] He launched the company with 15 brands and grew that number to almost 90 within two years.[7]
In December 2020,[1] Herning co-founded Thirteen Lune,[8] attracting investors including Gwyneth Paltrow and Sean Combs,[9] as well as negotiating an investment from VC firm Fearless Fund. The company launched with 13 brands[10] and Herning announced in July 2021 that Thirteen Lune's products will be featured in JCPenney stores.[11]
