Patsy Montana Oscars Jessie Doll

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Patsy Montana Oscars Jessie Doll is one of the rarest items of any Toy Story collector. This specific doll was created by Thinkway Toys in the year 2000, basing their design off of the 2000 Oscars design for the Pixar cowgirl. After 'Jessie' was inducted into the Cowgirl Hall of Fame, these rare sparkly Jessie dolls were created. Each doll came with a custom box with the words, "Special Edition" on the side, as well as a silver metallic doll stand that had the name, "Jessie" printed on the top. Each doll came with a matching hat as well as a voice box with the sayings from the 1999 Thinkway Toy Story 2 Pull String Jessie Doll. These dolls are highly sought after today, especially by collectors, usually selling upwards of a thousand dollars or more. After further research, a total of twelve of these dolls are still known to exist, including that of John Lasseter, who can be seen holding one at the 2000 Oscars as well as on his shelf in the beginning of the director's notes on the Toy Story 10th Anniversary DVD set. This classic cowgirl doll, voiced by Joan Cusack, is said to be one of the most expensive and rare items of Toy Story.

As for materials of the doll itself, the stand as well as hands are made from a hard plastic. The head and boots are made of a softer polyvinyl, the hat is made of glossed rubber, and her hair is made from a faded brown yarn. She has a total of eight sayings in her voice box as well. After speaking to a former employee at the Museum, they had stated that a total of only twenty-five of these dolls were produced for the museum to resell. The original sticker price for one of these Patsy Montana Oscars Jessie Dolls was thirty dollars in the year 2000-2001.
