Paul Daka is a Zambian junior karateka born on 28th June 2006. He is the current 3rd All Africa Kyokushin karate champion U14, both in Kata and Kumite.
Career
Paul Daka started training Kyokushin karate back in 2016 at Avondale karate club under Sensei Greg Maluma at the age of 9. At the age of 10, Senpai Paul made his first appearance at the 9th Japanese Ambassadors karate tournament and he managed to win a silver medal against a Namibian. After winning a number of local tournaments, Senpai Paul Daka was among the team which was picked to represent Zambia at the 3rd All Africa Kyokushin karate tournament in 2020, and he won a gold medal in both Kata and Kumite, becoming the first young Zambian to win such a title.[1]
Personal Life
Paul Daka was born in 2006 in Lusaka's Chainda compound. He is the fourth born child in a family of 5. Paul Daka lives with his parents in Chainda Compound and he goes to Munali Boys Secondary School where he is doing his grade 8. [2]
