Greg Maluma, (born May 5, 1998) is a Zambian Kyokushin karateka, Kickboxer[1] and a mixed martial artist[2]. He did his secondary school at Chongwe Boys school, Chongwe town, Lusaka Province.| He is one of only a handful few Zambian karateka's[1].[2] Greg is the second youngster from the Family of five, he picked combative techniques as a vocation part from a youthful age as he was motivated by the film "King of the kickboxers". He mentioned actor sensation and Martial artist Michael jai white as his idol.[3]

Martial Arts Career

Gregson Maluma started his martial arts career in Kyokushin Kenbukaikan at the age of 14 and earned his black belt at the age of 18, becoming one of the youngest black belts in Zambia. Maluma now holds a 3rd dan black belt at the age of 23 and he is the youngest 3rd degree black belt in Zambia. His senior student holds a 1st dan black belt.[4]. He made his professional K-1 fighting debut on September 27, 2019 at the Desert[5] storm 3 and won a gold medal.[6]

Kyokushin career

After winning a number of National tournaments Gregson maluma was selected to represent Zambia at the 1st So-Kyokushin world championship in Zimbabwe.

Inspiration

Greg maluma grew up on Fighter in the wind, The king of kickboxers and Michael jai white, his martial arts training inspiration comes from the movies fighter in the wind and The king of kickboxers. He looks up to Michael jai white as his role model and he was encouraged to go further in martial arts by his Mom and friends to stay away from elicit activities.
