Pawan Kumar Marut is an Indian television producer, film producer and director. He is the co-founder of the Rashmi Sharma Telefilms Limited production company.

His movie Pink grossed 50 crore in the first 10 days in India[1] and ultimately grossed approximately 90 crore. It was appreciated by both the audience and the critics.[2]

On 4 December 2016, Pink won the Best Film at the Star Screen Awards.[3][circular reference] The film was also invited for a special screening at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.[4][5]

Pawan's first TV show Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat which aired on Star Plus in 2008 ran all the way until 2010. His current popular shows are Saath Nibhaana Saathiya , Sasural Simar Ka and Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki which have been doing very well. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Sasural Simar Ka are one of the longest running shows on Indian television with 1800+ episodes each. Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Sasural Simar Ka are one of most hit shows of India as it has been on the top of TRP Chart many times.[6]
