Pace Ayebazibwe Kabunga (born c. 1978), is an accountant, businesswoman and corporate executive, who is the executive director at Housing Finance Bank, a commercial bank that is the largest mortgage lender in Uganda. Before her current position, she worked as the head of personal and mortgage banking at the same bank.[1][2]

Background and education[edit]

She was born in Uganda circa 1978. She attended local primary and secondary schools, before being admitted to Makerere University, Uganda's largest and oldest public university. She graduated with a Bachelor of Statistics degree from there. Her second degree, a Master of Financial Management, was obtained from Amity University, Gourdan, in India. She has attended Strathmore University and graduated from the CEO Leadership Course and a number of other leadership and management courses. In addition, she is a Chartered Certified Accountant, recognized by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.[3]

Career[edit]

Her career in banking goes back over 15 years, as of 2020. She has wide experience in most facets of retail banking, sales, credit, finance and relationship management. She is an expert in mortgage financing. She is trained as "a financial literacy trainer" by Bank of Uganda, the country's central bank and banking regulator.[3][4]

In her position as the executive director at Housing Finance Bank, she is a member of both the board of directors and the executive management of the financial institution.[2]
