Austin Hargrave (born, July 25, 1990), better known online as PeanutButterGamer, (Sometimes called PBG, Or Peebs), is an American Youtuber, Singer, And "Silly" Game Reviews, known for making Top Tens, Hacking, and reviewing bad or forgotten video games. He is a part of NormalBoots YouTube network, which he founded in 2010 alongside Jon "JonTron" Jafari.

Early and personal life[edit]

Hargrave was born on July 25, 1990 in Dallas, Texas.[citation needed] He spent his early years in Texas before he relocated to Woodinville, Washington.[1] Hargrave quit unversity to become a YouTuber, because he felt school didn't help him.[2]

He is married to Danielle "Unicorism" Hargrave, who also appeared with him in the Normal Boots game Asagao Academy.[3]

YouTube career[edit]

Hargrave rose to popularity through his videos of various Nintendo games, such as The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario.[4][5] His content consists of video game reviews, top 10 lists and mini series, such as "To Kill an Avatar" and "The G-Files."[5][6] One of his most popular web series includes Zelda Month, where every November he makes videos dedicated to the titular video game series.[4] In addition to video game reviews, Hargrave has also done Let's Plays on his second channel, PBGGameplay; on this channel he created a Minecraft Hardcore series which features other YouTubers completing quests in the game on Hardcore mode. He has also created similar series with Terraria and MineZ. Media publication Heavy listed the series as one of the top fan-made Minecraft videos in 2017.[7]

Hargrave co-founded the NormalBoots collective network with YouTuber JonTron in 2010, affiliating himself with other gaming YouTube personalities such as TheCompletionist and ProJared.[8][9][10] In the network, Hargrave has done narration work for Did You Know Gaming?, appearing in episodes on game titles such as The Legend of Zelda[11][12] and Harvest Moon.[13][14] He also appeared in the video game Asagao Academy created by NormalBoots in 2014 and released for free in 2016.[3][15]
