‘’’Pelé Kizy’’’, better known as ‘’’Peleboy’’’, is an American rapper, actor and songwriter.[1]
Early life[edit]
Pelé grew up in the Detroit, Michigan area.[2] He is a first-generation American, being that his father is from Baghdad, Iraq and his mother is Italian. Pelé' built a buzz in the Detroit Hip Hop scene at an early age collaborating with good friend Tony K and Detroit legend Big Herk.[2] He was inspired by various Hip Hop artists such as 2pac, Eminem, 50 Cent and Cash Money. Peleboy started rapping at 14 years old. In 2005, Pelé teamed up with his good friend “Tony K”, and together they released their first independent album, titled "Partners In Crime". [3] Peleboy later started working on solo music projects.
Career[edit]
Through the midst of releasing music and connecting with people, Pelé' was able to work with rappers such as Royce Da 5’9”, D12’s Swifty McVay, and many more. In 2007, Pele’ landed a spot on Suge Knights Reality Show “Suge’s Unfinished Business”[4]. In 2008, his first solo song “Shake That Thang” was featured in the movie “Senior Skip Day”.[5] Fast forward to 2017, he released another single, which received attention from the blogs, “Up Down” where he collabed with his partner in crime Tony K, in Detroit.[6] Pele’ has also played roles in many Films and TV Shows such as “The Mason Brothers”, “Fire City”, “The 420 Movie: Mary & Jane”, “Tattoo Nightmares” and many more.[7]
