Penelope Schizodimou

Penelope Schizodimou is a Greek painter who was born in 1957 in a village called Megala Kalivia, close to the town of Trikala in Central Greece.

Schizodimou studied arts for several years under the supervision of Dora Livanou and Theodoros Pandos. From 1981 until 1985 she taught arts in Greek schools. Since 2008 she has lived in Trikala and worked as a painter. She is a member of a group of artists called “Technothira” and active in Karditsa. Schizodimou's main professional focus is on painting, but she also deals with mosaic and vitro. Unique features of her expression are artistic preciseness and personal creativity. In painting she mainly deals with landscapes, portraits, ethnography and symbolic topics. The materials she uses are acrylic, oil, water-color and charcoal.

Schizodimou has presented her works in personal and collective exhibitions both in Greece and abroad. Since 1978 she has presented her works in fifteen personal exhibitions and in a number of collective ones. In 2000 she presented her work in Boston and in 2002 she did the same thing in Belgium and in Italy.
