The Group consists of a people who generally who are readying themselves to defend their homes, neighbors and state. The organization is no longer lead by Christian Yingling or Bob Gardner but has many leaders throughout the commonwealth.

One of the basic tenets of the organization is: "It is the duty of the citizens to protect and defend the unalienable rights of all members of the community. History and Changes.[edit]

Like events from the 2017 when C. Yingling took a number of members from various group to the Unite the Right rally where Yingling went to "serve as armed security," and claimed to have served as intermediators between Far-right/Alt-right groups and counter protesters. It was revealed by court documents during the Fox 43 series that he, Yingling, was never invited to Charlottesville by either the local government or local law enforcement. In September of 2020, while under the leadership of Bob Gardner, a group was taken to Mifflintown, PA to perform "peacekeeping duties" during a BLM rally.

Christian Yingling stepped down from leadership of the Pennsylvania Light Foot Militia in February 2020 at which time Bob Gardner took over. In December 2020 Bob Gardner stepped down as leader of the Pennsylvania Light Foot Militia.

As of January 2021 the Pennsylvania Light Foot Militia is "Under New Managment" with a focus on personal safety, self defense and overall readiness. The New PALFM is not focused on political rallies and will not do "peacekeeping or security duties" of any kind.

The PALFM supports the local, state and federal governments. The PALFM will assist in defending the state and federal constitution within the letter of the law as it is able.
