Penumpas Ajaran Sesat (English: The Cursed Teacher) is a 1991 Indonesian fantasy horror action film directed by M. Sharieffudin A.[1]. Produced by Washi Dipa, the film introduces Hazni Zulaikah H. as Ayu, Devi Ivonne as Anggun and Harry Capri as Iman.
Plot[edit]
Anggun (Devi Ivonne), who has steeped herself in the knowledge of black magic to fulfill her evil designs, is always on the look-out for beautiful young women to sacrifice. Ayu (Hazni Zulaikah H.), who wishes to escape from the world of black magic, almost falls victim to Anggun. Luckily, Iman (Harry Capri), who is a human being in mystical form, happens along to help Ayu. In the end, a lightning bolt from heaven strikes Anggun dead.

Production[edit]
Penumpas Ajaran Sesat incorporated 2D animation, which was in its infancy at the time. This is most notable in one of the scenes using lighting bolts and laser effects. The special effects were made at H. K. Screen Art (Cantonese: 銀藝特技製作公司 Jyutping: ngan4 ngai6 dak6 gei6 zai3 zok3 gung1 si1), a computer animation company in Hong Kong.
