Pete Antonacci (born 1949) was appointed Broward County Supervisor of Elections by Florida Governor Rick Scott following the fallout with previous Supervisor of Elections, Brenda Snipes. Antonacci is a Republican. Before his appointment, Antonacci was a Florida State Attorney.
Career[edit]
In 2002, Antonacci represented former Florida Governor Jeb Bush's daughter following a drug arrest.[1]
In 2012, Antonacci was appointed State Attorney by Governor Rick Scott to fill the vacant spot left by Michael McAuliffe, who left for a private sector job. On November 30, 2018, he was appointed Broward County Supervisor of Elections following the resignation and suspension of Brenda Snipes by Governor Rick Scott. [2]
