Phil Ferranti (born 26 June 1941) is an American professional golfer and restaurant owner. Ferranti had a successful career in European senior golf, attending the European PGA Senior Tour from 1993 through 2001. He became the first American champion in the 1993 European Seniors Tour after gaining a sponsor's invitation to the Leman International Senior Championship in Geneva, Switzerland. He earned a PGA Tour card in 1968, 1977, 1978, and 1982. Ferranti was a qualifying medalist in the 1996 Senior PGA Tour and the 1998 Senior PGA Tour. He was on the top 25 money list for five years, with nine top-5 finishes and twelve top-10 finishes.
Ferranti served as the director, tournament chairman, and vice president of the PGA board, Southwest section. He won the 1968 Akron Open at Firestone Country Club and has been a champion several times in the Senior PGA chapter, Southwest section. Outside of his professional golfing career, Ferranti has owned and operated several local restaurants.
Early life
Ferranti was born in Benson, Arizona in 1941. He attended Tucson High School and was a state champion on the golf team three years in a row. He attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a degree in Business and Philosophy.
