Phil Michelides (Michaelides has been used in some sources) (born in Perth, Australia) is a former motorcycle speedway rider in British League and National League (speedway).

Career

Phil Michelides signed for Newcastle Diamonds[1] in 1975 and is most associated with that club, helping them to National League Champions in 1976. He picked up occasional rides with Wolverhampton Wolves, Hull Vikings and Cradley Heathens covering for absent riders.

After Speedway

After retiring from the sport, he owned a business - Ausco Electrical Services - eventually selling it to enjoy full retirement sailing his yacht along the east coast of Australia. Married to Carol, they have two sons, Ross and Dean.
