Philippe Bussonnet is a French jazz and rock bass player. He started his career in Belfort in the 80s. He is also a composer.[1]
Because of his aesthetic choices and his work on sound, he is an influential musician in the Prog Rock and Electric Jazz circles. He is one of the creators of the following bands: BBI,[2] One Shot, Electric Epic, Wax’in and Welcome-X.[1]
Unusual features for a jazz musician: he is self-taught and his bass is tuned in fifths like a cello (C, G, D, A).[3]
