Overview[edit]

Phoenix Starr College is a part of the Phoenix Starr Academy of Dance and Gymnastics, which was established in Luton in 2013 by commercial dancer Jazmin-Jade Buckley, who is also known by her stage name Phoenix Starr.[1] The academy offers vocational training in performance dance, with key areas of study including hip-hop, commercial, jazz, tap and contemporary dance, as well as ballet.[2]

In 2018, the college began offering a BTEC Extended Diploma course to students wishing to continue pursuing higher education in dance, with contact hours spent between the academy and Bedford College.[1][3] Students of the academy and the college also participate in various dance competitions as part of their study.[4][5]
