Picard Brothers
Picard Brothers is a duo of writers, producers, and DJs composed of Maxime Picard and Clément Picard, two brothers from Paris. They’ve played pivotal parts in the creation of records by Beyoncé, Diplo, Mark Ronson and Madonna as writers and producers.[1][2] They won a Grammy Award in 2019 for Best Dance Recording for their contribution to "Electricity" by Silk City and Dua Lipa.[3]The same year, they launched their artist project under the name Picard Brothers and signed to Island Records.[4]
Career
Picard Brothers started their music career at an early age and produced beats for the French rap world.
In 2011, they met with Diplo in Paris who decided to sign them and they became part of his core production crew. They quickly signed their first Platinum certified song[5] "It Won't Stop" by Sevyn Streeter and Chris Brown[6]
Working between Paris and Los Angeles, they have been involved in many major Major Lazer and Diplo releases such as "Powerful" with Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley[7], "Look Back" with DRAM, "Color Blind" with Lil Xan.[8]
In 2018, they met with Mark Ronson and played a pivotal role in the creation of Silk City and co-signed the Grammy winning hit "Electricity" amongst other singles. Quickly, they started working on Ronson's album and co-wrote and produced eight songs on Late Night Feelings[9][2] including the smash single "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" with Miley Cyrus.[10]
2019 also marked the collaboration with rising star Yebba, and the production of "Already" for Beyoncé's album The Lion King: The Gift[11]
Being around Ronson and Diplo has given them the scope to bring things closer to home again and make more material for themselves. They release their first single "Won't Let Go" in 2020 as Picard Brothers, later remixed by House legend Todd Edwards.[12] They are now working on their debut album.[13]
